This form of heating is up to 75% more efficient than gas and electric heating, is not reliant on the sun and works in all conditions and temperatures - from minus 7 degrees to plus 43 degrees.

Thermo Smart heat pumps have a COP (co-efficient of performance) around “5” which means that for every dollar spent you get $5 worth of energy output. Heat pumps use up to 75% less power than electric heating and are considerably cheaper than heating with gas. Over the life of a pool or spa your heat pump will save you many thousands of dollars.
Are Heat Pumps Better than Solar Water Heating
Solar heating systems require heat from the sun to heat your pool. Unfortunately, most of the times when you want to heat your pool are the times when solar heating is least efficient. Thermo Smart heat pumps use latent heat in the air, allowing you to heat your pool or spa all year round in any conditions. Solar systems will extend your swimming season by a few months. Heat pumps deliver year round heating and cooling. Also, it is worth remembering that solar heating is not really free as you need a circulation pump to run the system.
